Indulgent Italian Coffee
Hey, Lykkers! Are you ready to indulge in the rich, creamy world of Italian coffee?
Today, we’ll dive into how we can make this delightful beverage right at home, along with tips on how to save it for later!

Ingredients

To create a delicious cup of Italian coffee with cream, we need the following ingredients:
Espresso: 1 shot (about 30 ml)
Heavy cream: 2-3 tablespoons
Sugar: to taste (optional)
Milk: optional, for a creamier texture
Cocoa powder or chocolate shavings: for garnish (optional)

Steps to Make Italian Coffee with Cream

Brew the Espresso: Start by brewing a strong shot of espresso using your favorite method, whether it's a traditional espresso machine, a Moka pot, or an Aeropress. The key is to make it strong and flavorful.
Prepare the Cream: While the espresso is brewing, pour the heavy cream into a small bowl or a measuring cup. Using a whisk or a hand mixer, beat the cream until it thickens slightly but is still pourable. If you prefer it sweeter, add sugar to taste while whisking.
Combine Espresso and Cream: Once the espresso is ready, pour it into a large cup. Slowly pour the whipped cream on top of the espresso, allowing it to float. If we want to add milk for a creamier texture, we can do so at this stage.
Garnish: For an extra touch, sprinkle some cocoa powder or chocolate shavings on top. This step adds not only a lovely visual element but also enhances the flavor.
Serve: Enjoy our Italian coffee immediately while it’s still warm. It pairs wonderfully with biscotti or a slice of cake!

How to Save It

If we want to save our Italian coffee with cream for later, there are a few tips to keep in mind:
Store Separately: It’s best to store the espresso and cream separately. Pour any leftover espresso into an airtight container and refrigerate it. The cream can also be stored in a separate container in the fridge.
Reheat the Espresso: When we’re ready to enjoy our coffee again, simply reheat the espresso gently on the stove or in the microwave. Avoid boiling it, as that can change the flavor.
Whip Fresh Cream: Since whipped cream doesn’t hold well, it’s better to whip fresh cream each time we want to enjoy our coffee. This ensures the best texture and flavor.
With these simple steps, we can savor the richness of Italian coffee with cream right at home. So grab your ingredients, Lykkers, and let’s get brewing!
