Oatmeal Breakfast
Oatmeal is a great food for breakfast as it is full of fiber and nutrients, low in calories and fat, and rich in protein, vitamins, and minerals. However, the processing of oats affects its benefits, as less processed oats have more fiber but also have a tough texture and a bland taste.
To make oatmeal delicious, you can add different ingredients to it. Here are three oatmeal breakfast recipes:
Overnight Oats
Ingredients:
Oatmeal
Milk
Yogurt (optional)
Sweeteners (maple syrup, honey, sugar)
Chia seeds
Fruits
Crushed nuts
Instructions:
Mix all the ingredients in a sealed container.
Place in the refrigerator overnight.
Enjoy a healthy breakfast the next day.
Tips:
The ratio of oats to milk is 1:1, and you can adjust it according to your preference.
Milk adds flavor, so it's not recommended to replace it with water. People with lactose intolerance can use plant-based milk instead.
Add softer fruits, such as bananas, the next day so they won't affect the taste.
If you don't like cold oats, microwave them for 30 seconds before eating.
